![]() Pick enemies who are weak or very weak where-ever possible to ensure a win with minimal losses. Most important thing is to pick your battles. I played a quite a bit of KB the legend recently so I can share some of my experiences: Tl dr: any starting tips? mainly about character building, which skills to go for, which are useless, what spells to learn, etc. I also hear spells are randomly distributed among merchants. it might be more difficult than that later on, I'm not sure. they have less leadership, so less units, but my second playthrough of the demo seemed pretty sweet with a mage: I opened each battle with a fire spell and cleaned up after that. ![]() I'm gonna play on easy because I'd like to finish the game this year, and I'm gonna play a mage. or maybe it's just limited because mana crystals are limited, not sure. also, you can't recruit units infinitely, 'shops' run out of them eventually (and there's a huge amount of backtracking to resupply them, which doesn't sound very good).Īnd I think you can't learn every spell, not only because they need certain mage skills and mana crystals to learn and they're also finite, but - correct me if I'm wrong - the spellbook's capacity is also limited. What I know is that there's no respawn (which is awesome, hate respawn) but it also means that xp and gold are limited. and since the game's part of steam's weeklong deals anyway, others might benefit from this thread also (tried searching for similar topics here without luck, though I'm planning to skim the steam forums for any useful advice and there's gamefaqs and the before I play wiki). Since it's a pretty complex game (though very easy to get into), I was wondering if there's anything worth knowing beforehand, what to do, what to avoid, etc. Ok, so years after trying and loving the demo, I've finally decided it's time to play legend because the 4th game in the series, dark side, is about to come out and even if I complete a title every year, I still won't ever catch up. For example I'm fighting some orcs but to keep diversity the game confront you Lutins with Butterfly, some orcs with wolves, it's a joyful garbage, ok for the diversity, but items morale don't match.A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Their morale are too sensible, that involve ton of units manipulation to adapt to new command level, use new units compatible and so on. ![]() Weird.ĮDIT: I'm starting to dislike a lot those morale items, just frustration. Well if I consider this exact that means only undead can be fought or at least in a bigger proportion. Like its creators, this living staff abhors violence, and considers the life of every living creature invaluable. There's ton of unclear stuff, for example let take the Great Druid's Staff: A sacred relic of the forest mages, the staff of the Great Druid is the symbol of highest wisdom and unity with the forces of Nature. I don't mix non compatible types ie that lower each other morale.Ĭurrently I'm sticking a bit with two elf items and there morale behave differently. For the King's Hammer I used a full dwarf army, not very efficient combination if you ask me but I was trying with the dwarf wife, some dwarf morale bonus and this weapon. You think so? I'm not sure that is a problem with all items, clearly not for the Paladin Shield. ![]()
